Merlyn's World

( Whereof to See the Wizard)

                                      INTRODUCTION TO MERLYN'S WORLD

Those of you who have been fascinated as I have by the tales of King Arthur
and his knights of the Round Table will probably need no introduction to Merlyn.
He appears, sometimes prominently, in many of the stories and legends of Arthur,
and has himself been the sole subject of many books over the intervening years.
Some of these wonderfully written and often lengthy works have attempted to
unravel the mysterious origin and life of the famous "magician".  The truth is,
however, that no matter how painstaking has been the investigation, no-one really
knows how many of the "facts" that have been uncovered are really true.
It is entirely possible that all the stories of Arthur, Merlyn, and the other
characters in the tales are merely legends with little or no basis in fact.  To a real
student of early English history, this matters not at all.  The stories, whether legend
or history, are simply too enchanting and memorable to be ignored.
This man, who has been called Merlinus (Roman), Myrddin (Welsh), and the
Merlin of Britain (a title), Emrys (another Welsh name), and assorted other aliases,
emerges from these epic tales as the most memorable, the most amazing, and
perhaps the most important character of all.
His seemingly endless roles include those of a musician, traveling bard,
naturalist, physician, mystic, seer of the future, druid priest, warrior, teacher of
Arthur as a young boy, counselor of Arthur the king, emissary of a united Britain,
architect of shrines, astronomer, and all-around miracle worker.  Small wonder
that he has been immortalized as a magician.  If all of these skills and abilities were
truly a part of this one person, the world has not since seen his equal.
In our own troubled time, it would certainly be helpful if a man with the insight
and wisdom of a Merlyn was available to guide us.  Would we listen?  The kingdom
we call "Camelot" was built on Merlyn's strong principles, and was destroyed when
they were forgotten.  The legends say that Arthur was the "Once and Future King"
who will appear again at the proper time to help lead the world down the right path.
These same legends were not very clear about whether the Merlyn of Britain really
died, or simply disappeared to re-emerge in another time and place.
Is it possible that he has?

                                               WORDS OWISDOM

                                                             Y.G.I.T.S.      by  Merlyn
                                                  (Your God is Too Small)

"Through physical insight and mathematical rigor,  guided and
confirmed by experimentation and observation, we've established
that space, time, matter, and energy engage a behavioral repertoire
unlike anything any of us have ever directly witnessed.  And now,
penetrating analysis of these and related discoveries are leading us
to what may be the next upheaval in understanding: The possibility
that our universe is not the only universe."

                                                                                From:   "The Hidden Reality"
                                                                                         by Brian Greene

The author of the above quote, Brian Greene, is not a mystic, a prophet, or a
preacher.  He is what we normally refer to as a "scientist".  The following is part of the
blurb on the jacket of his book:

"Brian Greene received his undergraduate degree from Harvard
University and his doctorate from Oxford University where he was a
Rhodes scholar.  He joined the physics faculty of Cornell University
in 1990, was appointed to a full professorship in 1995, and in 1996
joined Columbia University, where he is professor of physics and
                    mathematics."

Impressive credentials, indeed.  I think it is safe to say that Dr. Greene is in the
forefront of what is considered scientific thinking in the 21st century.  In the past 100
years there has been, if you'll pardon the expression, a quantum leap in the viewpoint
of the scientific community regarding the nature of our universe.
Pushing outward into the macro-cosmic world of the galaxies and simultaneously
inward to the micro-cosmic world of energy particles has led to the inevitable conclusion
that there seems to be no limits no matter which direction we look.  It's quite amazing
that it has taken us so long to consider this possibility, since the evidence has always
been there, and the wisest of us have always known it.  Alas, the world of science has
been insisting on measuring everything for so long that they had become blind to our
        infinite, un-measurable, reality.
Even now, we read in Brian Greene's quote that there is a "possibility that our
universe is not the only universe".  That is an oxymoron.  The prefix "uni" means one.
We cannot have more than one uni-verse.  What we can have is one universe that is
far more complex than we have suspected, and that includes possibilities we have yet
to imagine. That is what we have.
This is not new information.  Here are a few more quotes from out historical past:

"In my Father's house are many mansions."
                                                                                         ... Jesus

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are
                          dreamed of in your philosophy."
                                                                          ...  William Shakespeare

"... connect your subject with the universe and catch an echo of
                            the infinite"
                                                                         ...  Oliver Wendell Holmes

"If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst forth at once
into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty one."
                                                                        ...  The Bhagavad Gita

                        "We look at it and do not see it;
                                 Its name is The Invisible.
We listen to it and do not hear it:
                                 Its name is the Inaudible.
                         We touch it and do not find it;
Its name is the Subtle (Formless)."
                                                                                   ...  Lao Tzu

This is what I see from outside of the time/space illusion.  The idea that men call
"The Universe" is all there is, and all that can be imagined and more.  The idea that
men call "God" is exactly the same thing.  The personality/force that is the Creator/
Creation has no time/space limitations, hence there are no beginnings or endings to
find, and no dimensions to be measured.  Any "God" that we can conceive of or describe
is already too small by definition, since words cannot describe the un-describable, and
the most precise equipment science can devise cannot measure the un-measurable.

                                                          GREETINGS FROM MERLYN

Hello, my brothers and sisters, this is Merlyn.  Some of you may have heard of me
in my connection with the legendary stories of King Arthur of Britain.  Merlyn was really
only one of my names, but it seems to be the most familiar one, so that is the one I will
use.  Direct conversation over such a large expanse of "time" is rare, and I do not plan
            to waste my opportunity.
Some of you know this, but many of you do not, so I will state the case plainly at the
outset.  In the 21st century C.E., you are all here on earth on the cusp of a great shift in
human circumstances, both physical and non-physical.  The very planet you live on is
going through monumental changes, and that is just the beginning.
In my last experience, approximately 1500 earth years ago, I too was faced with a
completely different world from the one in which I grew up.  However, my world then
consisted primarily of the Roman civilization and its neighbors on all sides.  At that point,
few were thinking globally, let alone universally.  The situation was similar, however, in
that most people living in that time and place were being forced to re-evaluate some very
basic assumptions about what was necessary for their survival - as individuals, or as a
race.  Those of you now focused here on earth are faced with the same dilemma.
Whether this is a bad thing or a fantastic improvement will depend on you.  A heavy
responsibility, but one that you are eminently qualified to handle.  Even if you are not
aware of it, the ability to remake yourself and your world for the better has always been
yours.  The natural cycles of night and day provide each of us with a brand new set of
circumstances every morning, and it is always up to us individually what we do about it.
The idea that we are helpless to solve our so-called problems is a man-made assumption
that has been around for a long time, but it is simply not the case.  The truth is, there is
no such thing as a problem.  There are only opportunities to learn, and the greater the
difficulty, the greater the learning potential.
In the 21st century (which is only a convenient measurement of the Christian community)
a tidal wave of changes is upon the earth and all of its inhabitants.  The accompanying
growth potential is almost beyond comprehension.  How will YOU take advantage of this
fabulous opportunity?  That is up to you, but maybe my story, which follows, will give you
some useful ideas along with a somewhat larger perspective.  Why not stay with me a
            while and see?
                                                                                   ... Merlyn

SOME INTERESTING THINGS YOU LEARN LIVING "OUTSIDE OF TIME"

             *   The thoughts you hold in your mind are automatically creating your future.
If you are always thinking about your past, you will simply repeat it.

            *   EVERY thought you have is creative.  If you keep thinking the same ones, they
will ultimately show up physically in your life.

            *  This is a hard one, but it is true.  Because time only exists on the 3D level,
your thoughts not only change your future, they also change your past!
If you don't like your past, simply change your present thoughts, and
                   watch what happens.

FROM NOW ON, THIS PAGE WILL BE RESERVED                         FOR OUR LATEST CONTRIBUTIONS.
We have completed the work on this page and the "Essays"                   page to make them easier to read everything on a small screen.                     There are still two columns of entries, but the columns are                             clearly separated so they can be accessed just by scrolling up                       or down.  The other pages will also be changed very soon.
On the "Archives" page, you will find five personal interviews
that we have created with Merlyn interviewing some very famous
individuals from the past.  We are resuming that process, and
will begin by posting just below on this page a recent interview                     we had with Abraham Lincoln.  We hope you will find it of interest.

                                                                         ...  Merlyn

                                                                                                                                       August 2016

                                                    A MESSAGE FROM MERLYN

In spite of all the negative news you are hearing on earth these                 days, the situation is not hopeless no matter what all the prophets of
doom are saying.  There is always something you can do about it.
Here are some thoughts on the matter:

We have noticed in our observance of the daily experience of
some people that the focus of many of their thoughts is causing some
problems.  It has been said succinctly that "Thoughts become things",
and it is very easy to dismiss that as just another one of those quaint
aphorisms of the "positive thinking" proponents.  The truth is that
those three words are perhaps the most important ones in the English
language.  (Not counting "I love you")
Any thought that is repeatedly held in ones mind will inevitably
begin to attract those exact conditions in his or her world.  It makes no
difference whether the repeated thought is about something that is
desired or something that is not wanted, the process is still the same.
In the world of the mind, like attracts like.  That is just the opposite of
the physical world in which opposites attract, but it is a fundamental
        law nonetheless.
To make this work for you and for your world, the answer is to
monitor your thoughts constantly.  If what you are thinking makes you
feel good, then that is going to produce a positive result.  If it troubles
you, find a way to replace it with a different thought to avoid attracting
        what you don't want.
Collectively, this is critical.  When thousands or even millions of
us are holding onto thoughts of illness, danger, threats from others,
a collapsing economy, deterioration of the environment, or any other
of the endless variety of negative possibilities, we are merely helping
        to create the problem.
We must realize that our thoughts are the most powerful creative
force we have, and just like our atomic energy, we cannot afford to be
careless with them. Positive thoughts are ten times more powerful than
negative ones - try focusing on them totally and watch what happens
        in your life.

                                                                    ... Merlyn

There is a story about a man trying to solve the world's
problems, when his young daughter comes into the room
and asks if she can help.  He's touched by the girl's concern,
but impatient to get on with his work, so he takes a map of
the world, rips it into little pieces, and gives it to the girl,
telling her that she can help by piecing the world back to-
gether.   The girl doesn't have a clue what the world looks
like, but she takes the pile of papers back to her room.
Two days later she rushes into her father's study,  "Father,
father, she says.  I've put the world back together. "  And
indeed the shreds of paper have been very meticulously
taped together.   The father is stunned, and asks how she
did it.   The girl turns the map over.  "On the back was a picture
of a person" she said.   "I put the person back together and
then turned it over and the world was back together."

      300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

A recent study.by scientists from Harvard and Yale                                       suggested that there are probably at least 300 sextllion stars.                            That is a 3 followed by 23 zeros, or three trillion times 100 billion.
If stars are basically suns, how many planets are there?

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE VATICAN

We have had the opportunity to observe the development of the                                                  organization called the "Catholic" church for about the last 1600 years. Their                                      influence reached as far west as what is now known as the British Isles from
the beginnings in what became the fourth century AD.  From the outset, it
appears that the purpose was to create a world-wide organization based on
decisions made by a council directed in Nicea by the Emperor Constantine in
325 AD.  The result has been a mixed history of mayhem and sainthood the
likes of which had not been seen before on this planet.
We would like at this time to offer a few suggestions to that organization
in an effort to improve their results in the coming centuries.  Our suggestions
are based on some facts that appear to have been distorted along the way.
We will begin with our letter to Rome, and follow it with a rather lengthy list
and discussion of our observations.  We hope you will find it helpful.

                                                                       ...  Merlyn

                                                                                                                                                   October, 2017

            The Vatican
        Rome, Italy

        Dear Sirs,

We, and millions of others now living on Earth, assume that none of our
following observations will come as a surprise to you.  As you know, our
entire solar system is now operating on a different level than it has for
the last 2000 years.  The Pisces age begun by the birth of the Christ has
been replaced by the age called Aquarius, an era of "light" and truth.
Mis-information cannot longer survive.  The "second coming" of the Christ
spirit has begun, and will in the next millennium result in nearly everyone
on the planet embodying true Christianity.

In light of this change, may we suggest that you, as the presumed
standard-bearer of the faith, abandon those policies and teachings that no
longer apply.  It must be obvious to you that your organization is already
dwindling in membership and importance in much of the world.  This is
bound to continue unless you radically alter your course.

Can you find it in your hearts do these things?

        (1)  Admit that the message of the Christ was not that he was the world's
savior, but the shining example of what everyone could and should become.
The I AM that spoke to Moses from the burning bush is the same I AM that
Jesus said was "the way", and also the same I AM that resides in the soul
of every man, woman, and child ever born on Earth.  You have always
        known this.  Tell everyone!

        (2)  Admit the truth of the process referred to as "re-incarnation".  Every
other organized religion in the world knows about it.  So do you, but
you've been denying it for so long, you're starting to look foolish.  It is
common knowledge (and common sense) among all enlightened people
        everywhere.  Tell everyone!

        (3)  Finish the job of completing a proper biography of the man called
Jesus.  Your mis-informed followers should know about his education in
India, Tibet, Persia, and Egypt.  They should also know about his marriage
(at Cana) to Mary of Magdala, who was also trained in Egypt, and was his
partner in the Palestine ministry.  You know this.  Tell everyone!

        (4)  Give up on your misogynistic patriarchal organization.  You know that
human-kind is an equal partnership of males and females and that the
eternal souls we all are are androgynous anyway.  Sex is not, and never
has been, evil.  It is perhaps the most beautiful gift given to us all, and
your distortions have caused it to be mis-used.  Tell everyone!

There is much more that your influential organization could do to promote
true Christianity in the world, but the few we have mentioned would be a
good start.  It's in your best interest, too, because there will be no place
in the coming millennium for your current approach.

                                                                        ...  Merlyn

                                        ***
We are reminded of the story
of a young man walking along
the beach.  In the distance, he
sees what looks like tiny dots
all over the beach and the shape
of an old woman, bending down
and then walking to the edge of
    the sea, tossing something into
the sea, then walking back, and
    bending down again, picking
    something up again and throwing
    it into the sea.
        As he approaches, he sees
that the beach is littered with
starfish, left behind by a quickly
    receding tide.  There are hundreds
of starfish dying on the beach,
and one old woman picking up one
at a time, walking to the edge of
the sea and tossing it back, and
    then picking up another.
He is astonished at the imposs-
ibility of her task, and says, "Why
on earth are you doing that? Why
are you bothering? You can't save
    enough of them to matter."
        She threw one more starfish
into the sea and yelled into the
wind. "It matters to that one."

                                                                                                                                                               December 2018

THOUGHTS ON THE STATE OF THE WORLD

Throughout the centuries, there have been many leaders in this world who have                          expressed their frustration with the current situation at that time.  The wisest have
usually offered some good advice that would greatly ease the problems.  A lot of
that advice was often ignored.  We would like to begin a series of monthly comments
here by some of those wise individuals that we believe would certainly be beneficial.                        This planet is entering a new phase, and there are now millions of humans here who                        are likely to me more receptive to good advice.  Let us see if this is true.

Our first offering will be a pair of excerpts from "readings" by the 20th century seer
Edgar Cayce, who seemed to have access to a source of information referred to as
the Akashic Record.  He produced in his lifetime over 14,000 of these readings with
almost perfect accuracy.  Here are his comments on some universal problems:

"Any MOVEMENT that is other than that of the brotherhood of man
and the Fatherhood of God is dangerous! ...  Raise not democracy
nor any other name above the brotherhood of man, the Fatherhood
                        of God."

And when asked:  "Will it be possible to maintain a fair standard of living for our
own people while helping to raise economic standards in other parts of the world?"
            Cayce replied:

"Not only MUST it be possible, it MUST be done if there will be any
lasting peace!  But it must begin in the hearts and minds of individuals.
For it is as just given, ... As the vital cells of the body -- when they have
rebelled, and caused sufficient others to do likewise, destruction sets in."

                                                                                                                                                        November 2019

                                                            LOVE AND VIOLENCE

The current world situation has stirred our interest like no other before it.                                This is the first of several entries that will appear on our website in the near                                  future to offer our view.

We have tried for several years now to express our "outside of time and
space" viewpoint positively.  We will continue to do that, because it has become
quite popular in these days of mass communication to focus on one or more of
the negative aspects of society.  The third dimension "reality" that appears to
humanity's five senses is designed around contrasts like good and bad, black and
white, positive and negative, etc., so for thousands of years, mankind has exper-
ienced these contrasts in the extreme, and taken them for granted.  We are going
to offer some thoughts on two of these contrasting conditions in the hope of en-
couraging even more attention in a positive direction.

For this offering, our first choice for the negative side will be "VIOLENCE",
and the contrasting idea this time will be "LOVE".  We'll start with some comments
on violence, using a "peace-loving" country like the United States of America.  We
            have uncovered these facts:

                *  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who was himself shot to death, once said,
"the United States is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world
today."  Is that still true?  Quite possibly.

                *  In the USA, firearms and ammunition accounted for $52 billion in total
economic activity last year.  There are enough guns in the country today
for every man, woman, and child to possess one, with 67 million left over.

Every 24 hours, 100 civilian American lives are lost to gun violence, a
level unfathomable in most developed countries.

                *  The USA leads the world in military exports, accounting for 36 percent of
the global trade, and a full 10 percent of the manufacturing output is
                    dedicated to weapons of war.

American arms contribute to destruction around the globe, facilitated by
a network of 800 military bases across 70 countries and territories.

                *  Movies, television, and even video games made for children are loaded
with violent action, turning tragedy into made-for-profit entertainment.

The above facts do not even count the multiple other nations who are
actively developing ballistic weapons capable of mass destruction and of
course mass murder.  Or the individuals and organizations creating "terror'
often for so-called religious reasons, by killing and maiming as many
                civilians as they can.

How do we solve these problems?  More and more military power
doesn't seem to be working.  Diplomacy might help if we could get
reasonable agreement among the politicians involved.  Private money
can do some good if it isn't motivated by bottom-line profit. All of
these approaches have been available and even tried for centuries,
and the situation hasn't improved very much.  What is missing?

                                --------------------------------------------------------

Let's talk about our positive choice for a moment.  What do we mean
when we use the word "LOVE"?

The scientific world is now mostly willing to admit that what has been
called "matter" is really a mixture of energy and information, and only
appears to have physical form because of our observation of it.  The
physical nature of the universe we live in can almost be summed up in
one word -- ELECTRICITY.  Matter, when reduced to its basic microscopic
form, turns out to be nothing more than one form of electrical energy.
The atoms and their sub-atomic particles are held together by electro-
magnetism, and basically so are the galaxies and the billions of forms
they consist of.  Only the scale is different.  This is not new information.
It has been known by the wisest of us for ages.  Many have just forgotten.
What does that have to do with LOVE?

Let's start by explaining what we don't mean by the word LOVE.
One of your dictionaries has listed eight definitions for the word "love".
The first six refer mainly to romance, sex, or infatuation with other
physical objects or ideas.  Number seven simply says "in tennis, a score
of zero".  Definition number eight finally mentions the possibility that
LOVE might be a term for "God's benevolent concern for mankind", or
even, "the feeling of benevolence and brotherhood that people should
                have for each other".

Now, if the created "uni-verse" (literally - one song) is just energy,
what did the wise ones know about that?  In parts of the east, the
created energy is called "PRANA".  In China, it is referred to as "CHI".
In English, these terms are usually translated to "LIFE FORCE".  What
if we were to substitute two synonyms for LIFE and FORCE, and
replace them with AWARENESS and PRESSURE?  Is it possible that this
"AWARENESS" is what we call CONSCIOUSNESS, and the pressure is
called EMOTION?  if we now have a consciously aware creative force
that has emotion, what emotion could move it to create?

Why did Michelangelo create sculpture?  Why did J.S. Bach write
music?  Why did Rembrandt or Van Gogh paint, or William Shakespeare
write?  Was it perhaps that they just loved to do it?  Have you noticed
that one of the most quoted verses in the Christian "Bible" includes the
words "for God (the Creator) so loved the world (the Creation) that He
gave his only begotten Son ..." ?

It appears that Science and Religion are slowly being forced to
merge their respective viewpoints on physical "reality", because they
have both always been guilty of focusing their attention on only one
part of a multi-level creation.  Now some scientists are considering
the possibility of more than one uni-verse, and are obligated to call
it a multi-verse.  Others have even voiced the opinion that there
really is only one reality, and it is called "consciousness", making
everything else a derivative.  They tend also to treat this as new
information, but it too has always been known by some and forgotten
                by the rest.

Let us see if we can use the electrical nature of our world as a
model for a larger perspective.  The overall term ELECTRICITY can
be described in at least three other ways.

                        1.  AMPERAGE  (The strength of an electric current)
                        2.  CURRENT  (The flow, or rate of flow of electron
movement, which controls the result of that movement)
                        3.  VOLTAGE  (The electro-motive force, or pressure
                            behind the current)

If we substitute the word CONSCIOUSNESS for the word ELECTRICITY,
can we possibly describe it in a similar way?

                        1.  LIFE FORCE  (The strength of consciousness)
                        2.  VIBRATION  (or frequency - the rate that determines the
                            result of that force)
                        3.  LOVE  (The pressure behind the vibration)

In a practical sense, if there is no VOLTAGE in an electrical circuit,
there will be no movement, no matter what else exists.  Worse yet,
if there is uncontrolled VOLTAGE, the results can be disastrous.  In our
conscious world, no LOVE of any kind would result in no activity either,
and if the LOVE is there but misdirected, mistakes or even chaos might
                result.

We are convinced that what has been called LOVE for many centuries
has been misunderstood and misdirected to the point of near disaster.  if
humans feel strong emotional attachment to economic, military, or even
physical strength, for instance, that can act the same as an electric
current that is out of control, and it often ends up being destructive in
                some way.

Instead of thinking about LOVE as a happy coincidence when we meet
the right person, find the right job, or live in the right country, we need to
think of LOVE as a force.  Not just any force, but the most powerful force
in creation, because it is the sole reason for creation.  We ignore this at our
cost, since there really is only one of us.  We will all ultimately realize it for
what it is:  NOT JUST AN EMOTIONAL LUXURY, BUT THE ABSOLUTELY
ESSENTIAL AND ONLY DRIVING FORCE THAT CAN CREATE A FUNCTIONING
                SOCIETY, WHETHER LOCAL OR GLOBAL.

If LOVE is not the basis for our activity or is focused in the wrong direction,
the entire system can break down.  World history has proven that repeatedly.
Finally, if we realize that LOVE must be there before we do anything, what
should it be focused on to avoid a short circuit?  Let's see what the wise ones
                say about that:
                                                                 ***
Here are seven selected non-biblical quotes from some of those wise ones:

                    *  "They are not wise, then, who stand forth to buffet against love, for
love rules the Gods as he will, and me."
                                                                              ...  Sophocles     495-406 BC

                    *  "We have done with Hope and Honor, we are lost to Love and Truth."
                                                                              ...   Rudyard Kipling   1865-1936

                    *  "Satyagraha  -  it's root meaning is 'holding onto truth, hence - force of
righteousness.   I have also called it love force."
                                                                              ...  Mahatma Gandhi    1869-1948

                    *  "That love is all there is, is all we know of love."
                                                                              ...  Emily Dickinson       1830-1886

                    *  "The love that moves the sun and the other stars."
                                                                              ...  Dante Alighieri      1265-1321

                    *  For to be wise, and love, exceeds man's might, that dwells with the
                        Gods above."
                                                                              ...  Wm. Shakespeare    1564-1616

                    *  "Where love rules, there is no will to power; and where power rules, there
love is lacking.  The one is the shadow of the other."
                                                                              ...  Carl G. Jung             1875-1961

                        ______________________________________________________

And ... there are so many verses in the Bible about love, we will settle for only
two, which we believe should sum up the subject.

                 *  1 John 4:8     "He who does not love does not know God, for God IS love."

                 *  Matthew 22: 37-40      " You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the great and first
commandment.  And a second is like it.  You shall love your neighbor as
yourself.  On these two commandments rest all the law."
                                                                              ...  Jesus

brilliant man, got this one backward.  We do not exist (I AM) because we think
(I'M AWARE).  We think, because we exist.  The I AM created the thinking, not
                the other way around.

                                        EXODUS 3:13-16

"Then Moses said to God, 'if I come to the people of Israel and say to them,
the God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me, What is His
name?, what shall I say to them?'   God said to Moses, 'I AM who I AM.
Say this to the people of Israel.  I AM has sent me to you.   ...  this is my
                    name forever.'
                                                                __________________

If you were to take advantage of one of those 'sensory deprivation' devices, and
eliminate all the input from your five senses that you possibly could (no sight, no
sound, no physical feelings, no smell, no taste), guess what. You would still be there,
and you would know it. What's more, you might even become aware that the I AM
you discovered inside yourself was far greater than you thought it was.

Did I say "thought"?  Yes I did.  That's what your I AM always wants to do - think.
Just try to meditate and turn off the thinking, and you'll see how difficult that can be,
but it can be done.  When you do, the I AM part of you that is the thinker, will always
be there, and you will know that you are not your thoughts, you are the witness that
is having them. That witness that you are, the I AM, is a timeless holographic
expression of the I AM creative [Go(o)d]  force that spoke to Moses.  So am I.  So is
everyone else, even if they don't act like it.  There is only ONE of us.  Our amazing
and infinite differences are simply proof of the limitless power of the creative [Go(o)d]
force.  Everything in this fabulous multi-level creation is just another part of the I AM
                that is making it.

So what's the point?  It's simple.  The eternal [Go(o)d] creator I AM loves to create,
and that's what He/She does.  The process never ends, and He/She really loves the
creation, too.  So that's what all us little I AMs are doing as well, and if we don't love
our own creations, it's because we're just doing it wrong.  We need to only create
things that we do love.  The big catch to this is; - there really is just one of us, so we

                called "Making Heaven on Earth".

P.S.   There are no coincidences.  Everything happens for a reason.  The
founders of the United States of America knew what they were doing, and they                                  named the new nation AMERICA on purpose, because it is an anagram for the                                    I AM RACE.  If you happen to be an American, it's your job to make that work.

                                                                                                                                          March 2020

                                                              " WHAT IS TRUTH?"
                                                                                   ... Pontius Pilate

In his book entitled  "Think on These Things", a Theosophist
named Jeddu Krishnamurti once said this:

"The search for truth is true religion,
and the man who is seeking truth is the only religious man."

Virginia Beach, Virginia is the home of a large organization of
seekers called The Association for Research and Enlightenment.
(A.R.E.)  This association was founded by, and is based on the
body of information gathered by Edgar Cayce and friends during
his lifetime of giving thousands of "readings" while in a self-
            induced hypnotic trance.

In pursuing this noble goal, and relying heavily on the revelations
of Mr. Cayce, the A.R.E. seems to be living up to the ideals of Mr.
Krishnamurti by endlessly seeking "truth".  Alas, they may have
fallen prey to the same error that plagues almost all seekers of
truth.  They are relating all their findings to the "readings", which
means that any new truths that present themselves are automat-
ically colored by what is already believed.  it strikes me that if
you place any limitations, specifications, or criteria on your search,
you are doomed to keep riding up blind alleys like "organized
            religion" (an oxymoron) often does.

For instance, Cayce enthusiasts have embraced the idea of re-
incarnation - a big step forward in Western thinking, but do not
seem to have gone beyond that to the "alternate realities"
concept where all lives past, present, and future are simultaneous.
There might be no end to the ways we can get caught up in
time and space, which any Hindu will tell you us just an illusion
that only applies to our earthly "third" dimension.

Kahlil Gibran says in his famous book :The Prophet",  "Don't say
that you have found THE truth -- say that you have found truth
while walking your path."  He seems to know that truth is limit-
less and ever-changing.  That makes sense to me.  If all the
observable universe is constantly growing and changing in all
directions, then "truth" inevitably must be doing the same.  How,
then, can we seek it?  Maybe we can't.

Maybe we can only open our minds and let truth find us.  The
portion of the current truth that we can understand and deal with
will possibly make itself known as we are prepared for it.  That
sort of an active force seems to make the words "truth" and "God'
interchangeable.  If they are, then Krishnamurti was right on the
            mark.

                                                                    ...   Merlyn

Here are some quotes from Mahatma Gandhi on "truth"

"Truth is what the voice within tells you."

"Truth is like a vast tree which yields more and more fruit the
            more you nurture it."

"Truth alone will endure; all the rest will be swept away before
            the tide of time."

"Truth, which is permanent, eludes the historian of events."

"Truth is the first to be sought for, and beauty and goodness
will then be added unto you."

"The quest of truth involves self-suffering."

                                                                                                                                                                           March 2020

                                                               COVID-19 or CORONAVIRUS

The entire planet of Earth is now being beset by a world-wide epidemic
presumably caused by an organism named the "Coronavirus")  Thousands
have been diagnosed as having the virus in their body, and many others
already in a weakened physical condition have died.  From our "outside of                      time and space" view, perhaps we can offer some observations that may                        be helpful.

                A.  This is a simplification, but basically every human being has at least
four living "bodies" at all times.

                    *  The spiritual body (sometimes called a soul) is like the
                        architect of a house.
                    *  The emotional body is the need, or purpose for building
                        the house.
                    *  The mental body is the designer and builder of the house.
                    *  The physical body is the house that is the result.

                B.   The use of these "bodies" was aptly described in these words of
            Mahatma Gandhi:

                       *  Your beliefs become your thoughts.
                         *  Your thoughts become your words.
                           *  Your words become your actions.
                             *  Your actions become your your habits.
                               *  Your habits become your values.
                                 *  Your values become your destiny.

                C.   There is a book entitled "The Biology of Belief" by Bruce H. Lipton,
PhD, who was a cell biologist at both the University of Wisconsin and
Stanford University, and is an internationally recognized author and speaker.
In this book he describes in detail the process that living cells can use when
confronted by a destructive virus.  In brief, the healthy cell, sometimes with                  the help of a vaccine, but ultimately using the belief system of the host, will                  prevent the virus from reproducing itself and solve the problem.

                D.   Is belief important?  Both Gandhi and Dr. Lipton certainly said so,
but one might also consider these words of Jesus in Matthew 9:28-30.

...  the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you
believe that I can do this?"  They said to him, "Yes, Lord".  Then he
touched their eyes, saying "according to your faith be it done to you."
                  And their eyes were opened.
                                                                                    ...   Merlyn

                                                                                                                                                                       March 2020

"All truth passes through three stages.  First, it is ridiculed.                               Second, it is violently opposed.  Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."

                                                                                      ...  Arthur Schopenhauer

Here are two famous examples of the above quote.

                !.
Thomas Paine, who was born in England in 1737, after moving to and living in
America for only 13 months, published his famous 50-page pamphlet called "Common
Sense" in January of 1776.  It sold more than 500,000 copies, and was instrumental
in paving the way for the Declaration of Independence.
In 1787, he returned to England, wrote a book called "Rights of Man" criticizing
a monarchal society, and was indicted for treason.  Having moved to France anyway,
he wrote another truthful book called "The Age of Reason" which took on organized
religion and questioned the validity of the Bible.  This landed him in jail for a year.
After returning to America by 1803, he found that his positive influence had
been forgotten, and he was thought of as merely a rabble-rouser.  He died in 1809,
and his obituary had this line;  "He lived long, did some good and much harm".
Finally in 1937 the Times of London referred to him as "The English Voltaire".

YMYOR                                                                                                                         You make Your Own Reality

It's a fact.  THE fundamental fact.  It is so basic that it is the first thing we should teach
every one of our children.  If they don't learn that, then whatever else they do learn is
automatically distorted by their lack of understanding of how the world works.
Why don't we do this?  Well, for one thing, we don't teach it because no-one ever taught
it to us, so most of us don't even know it.  A more insidious reason, however, is that we
don't even want to know it.  Accepting the fact that we make our own reality places the
burden of responsibility squarely on our own shoulders, and we really don't want that.
I once had a conversation with a bright young man and suggested that the creative
force we call "God" is the same creative force that resides in all of us, so technically speaking
we are God.  He answered: "I don't want the responsibility".  End of discussion.  The idea
was categorically rejected on the basis of who was responsible for his life.
Well, here is the bad news.  It doesn't make any difference in the scheme of things
whether we want responsibility for our life or not -- we have it anyway.  We cannot escape
it.  The responsibility is, and always has been, and always will be ours.  Of course, that is
also the good news.  If we don't like our life, we can change it.  The flip side of our
responsibility is our Creator-given right to fix whatever is broken.
Most of us are familiar with the phrase; "The devil is in the details".  Herein lies the
problem.  We all get so thoroughly caught up in the details of our lives that in order to
alleviate our confusion, we create a "Devil" to blame for our inability to make it come out
right.  This imaginary Devil can take the form of "evil" people, natural calamity, illness,
accidents, famine, war, etc, etc - all the difficulties we create to make life on earth so
complex (or interesting, to say the least).
The other thing that we are never taught because our teachers didn't learn it
themselves, is just who is this "YOU" that is making your reality?  Accidents don't appear
to have been something we created for ourselves.  Children who are born with severe
physical or mental limitations don't look like they are responsible.  Natural disasters that
kill thousands are not something we consciously select..  Why (in the world) would we
            make these realities?
Why, indeed?  That is the question.  To BE responsible, or not to BE?  Here is the
answer.  We are called "human beings" because we are all in the process of being humans.
It is not an accident that we are here - we chose to be here.  Being human is an election
that the real "we" made because we wanted to.  Here are five more fundamental "facts".
See what your reaction is to these.  Even if we don't accept them, they are still facts.

                1.   Every human being on earth is only one small part of a larger entity that is not just
a big group of personalities, but ultimately all personalities, most of which are not "humans"
            at all.
                2.   Many of the decisions we make involving our earth life (or lives) are made at other
levels of our minds and we may or may not even be aware of them consciously.  Nonetheless,
"we" are still making the decisions.  That which appears painful from our limited perspective
is merely another growth opportunity for the entity.
                3.   These decisions can include:  (a) The time, place, and sex of the transition called
"birth" and the resulting family connections.  (b) Physical, mental, or social limitations to be
dealt with, or the lack of them.  (c) The general duration of each earth experience, and the
time and manner of each transition called "death".
                4.   Decisions made at any level are not "carved in stone".  Each entity is an open-ended
creation/creator that decides on the fly.  Conscious choices made on earth are critically
important, and affect not just one person, but the whole universe.
                5.   Therefore, whether or not we consciously know it, we are constantly making our own
reality with our core beliefs, our intentions, our attitude, and our day-to-day decisions.  A
belief in a benevolent "God" really helps to form that reality (so it works), but the system
            operates the same without it.

                    LOTS  MORE BELOW !!!!

                                                                                            THE GAME

Life on Earth is a game.  Did you know that?  Would you be different if you knew?

It is now 2024, and planet Earth seems to be in just as much of an uproar as it ever was.
The growing pains of the new world being born now are creating negative scenarios of all kinds.
While from an "outside time and space" point of view this situation is being considered only
temporary, on Earth, the problems are real enough to cause considerable suffering.

As always, however, the serious difficulties being experienced, whether climatic, societal,
or economic, are still solvable by correcting the one thing that has not yet been fixed.  This is
what has been missing.  A large (but shrinking) part of humanity's population does not yet
understand who we are and why we are here. Too many still do not know how to play the "Game'.

The good news (God-spell) is that the information is now abundantly available and aware-
ness of it is growing rapidly.  What we all need to do now is speed up the process, which may
even take several more generations if we don't get on it.  We can no longer afford to ignore the
situation.  Ignore-ance is now not an option for players in the game.

In a small attempt to work on this problem, let me call your attention to a couple of books
now available out of the hundreds more being written and the unlimited data on the internet.
The two books I refer to were written by Michael Newton, PhD, and are entitled "Journey of
Souls", and "Destination of Souls".  Dr. Newton, who is a hypnotherapist in private practice, has
for years been regressing patients to a part of their existence between their multiple "incarnations"
on Earth, which all of us have had.  In one of his interviews, he was told that the individuals in
"soul groups" between Earth lifetimes often refer to their Earth lives as "The Game".

If you have not yet done so, I might suggest that you do a little research of your own into
the subject of reincarnation.  The majority of those involved in non-Christian religions are very
familiar with this information.  Just knowing that you have been around forever in a variety of
situations and will never cease to exist is likely to change your whole view of this world
            immediately.

                                                                                                                                                                                        April 2022

                                                                                WHO THE HECK ARE WE?

Some folks are critical of others simply because they don't have enough information to answer
this question.  Maybe we can help.  Here are three things we all should know.

(1.)   All of us are immortal, re-incarnated beings.  Some have been here hundreds or even thou-
sands of times in every conceivable kind of a body.  After we leave here, we enjoy a beautiful period
of "R. and R." with friends and helpers before deciding whether or not to return here for more Earth
            experiences.

(2.)   We are all part of a noble experiment on this spectacular planet where everyone has "free will"
to choose what they think and do.  We are star-seeds from five different sources, purposely chosen
to avoid the in-breeding which would ultimately weaken physical humanity.  The plan was that we
would inter-breed among these five sources to create a super race.  All were equal, but each source
had a small advantage for this purpose.

(a.)   The BLACK race was given a little more physical skill.
(b.)   The RED race was more in tune with the natural world.
(c.)   The BROWN race was more aware of their spiritual nature.
(d.)   The WHITE race was a little better at organization.
(e.)   The YELLOW race was generally given a slightly higher intellect.

The "super race" hasn't worked out very well so far because with our free will we started
focusing on our differences, and each race has too often just tried to maintain their separateness
or even demonstrate their assumed superiority.

(3.)   The purpose of male and female bodies was, of course, to provide the means for continued
entries into the world.  The fact that sex is enjoyable was merely designed to make the system
work, and keep everyone happy.  We've all been male and female many times, but like the Creator
our eternal "soul" entities are androgynous, meaning both male and female.  Many are born on
Earth with this awareness, which can be confusing at times, but they may be just more advanced
            than the rest of us.

IT'S A GAME, FOLKS.  LET'S STOP ARGUING AND JUST ENJOY IT!

                                                                                                                                                                            June 2022

                   From Michael Luscome

In her radio show, Dr. Laura Slesinger said that, as an observant orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination
according to Leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstance.

The following is an open letter from Michael Luscome, penned by a U.S. resident on Nov. 14, 2014, which was
posted on the internet. It's funny, as well as informative.

                Dear Dr. Laura

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law.  I have learned a great deal from your show, and                              try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can.  When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for
example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination ...  end of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's laws and how to follow them.

                1.  Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from
neighboring nations.  A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians.  Can you clarify?
                Why can't I own Canadians?

                2.  I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned by Exodus 21:7.  In this day and age, what do you think
would be a fair price for her?

                3.  I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of Menstrual uncleanliness - Lev. 15:19-24.
The problem is, how do  I tell?  I have tried asking, but most women take offence.

                4.  When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev 1:9.  The problem is
my neighbors.  They claim the odor is not pleasing to them.  Should I smite them?

                5.  I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath.  Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death.  Am I
morally obligated to kill min myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

                6.  A friend of mine feels that though eating shellfish is an abomination, Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than
homosexuality.  I don't agree.  Can you settle this?  Are there "degrees" of abomination?

7  Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight.  i have to admit that I wear
reading glasses.  Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

                8.  Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed., including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly
forbidden by Lev. 19:27.  How should they die?

                9.  I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear
                gloves?

                10.  My uncle has a farm.  He violates Lev./ 19"19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by
wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread. (cotton/polyester blend).  He also tends to curse and blaspheme
a lot.  Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them?  Lev24:10-16.
Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws?  (Lev.20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I'm  confident
                you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and un-changing.

                                                                                             ...  Merlyn

At the end of Thomas Sugrue's wonderful biography of the seer Edgar Cayce,
which was entitled "There is a River", the last chapter is entitled Philosophy.  The
chapter begins with the sentence, "Man demands a beginning and a boundary".
That's true, and it is our collective problem.  We do insist on having boundaries
and limits to everything so that we can measure it and somehow understand it
better.  The difficulties we create for ourselves by this insistence are, if you'll
           pardon the expression, endless.
Many of us have enjoyed the fascinating feeling of swimming underwater.
Especially in a natural surrounding like a coral reef, there is something magical
about immersing oneself in a completely different and amazing aquatic envir-
onment.  To experience this watery world, we merely have to accept the limit-
ations it imposes for a short period of time.  Those limitations, of course, are
           many, and rather important.
We no longer have access to the air that we need to stay alive unless we
take some along with us, and even then we only have a short period of time
available.  We cannot walk, talk, or hear normally anymore, and our vision is
often severely reduced as well.  Specifically, without electronic help, we have
almost completely lost our communication with the world above the water
suface.  Eventually we tire of working our minds and bodies in the modified
efforts we call swimming, and happily return to the familiar realm of sunlight
           and fresh air.
This is almost a perfect metaphor for what happens when our real multi-
dimensional self, sometimes called a "soul", elects to dive into the relative
world of time and space.  When we voluntarily lower the curtain of our aware-
ness to focus our new "conscious" minds on the merely three-dimensional
realms, the shock is very much like abruptly plunging into cold water.  Our
new infant physical body invariably begins to cry ... loudly.  I suspect that for
many of us our first thought immediately after our "birth" is, OMG, now what
           have I done?
In spite of the narrow view of the skeptics among us, there exists a huge
body of information, much of it now in writing, about the circumstances surr-
ounding a human soul when it is not presently here on earth.  Apparently, there
is a limitless variety of experiences available to all of us, and no two are exactly
alike (think snowflakes).  However, there is an amazing consistency in the
reports that we have about the quality of the reality we have when not focused
           in a physical body.
Descriptions of this reality always contain words like freedom, joy, security,
beauty, oneness, peace, contentment, wonder, excitement, lightness, well-
being, harmony, balance, etc.  These are words we might use to describe a
place like the one we call heaven.  It certainly seems significant that everyone
who tries to describe this experience uses the same terminology - it implies
that the viewpoint has definite validity.
In order to carry our swimming analogy forward, we are forced to assume
that the "souls" we are talking about exist prior to physical birth on this planet.
In our mind that is a far more logical assumption than the notion that an eternal
entity is created only when a human baby is born.  Even the scientific society has
now concluded that time does not really exist, so eternity becomes a permanent
NOW instead of merely a one-directional extension of time.
At any rate, it is not surprising that a soul living in the blissful freedom of
a heavenly environment would have a big adjustment to make when suddenly
faced with this world's limitations.  It begins to make sense that we all require
a growing up period before accepting the responsibility for our own earthly life.
This raises the inevitable questions.  Why on earth would we come here in
the first place, and why can't we remember where we came from?   These
questions have been answered repeatedly over the centuries by countless
enlightened souls, many of whom have been ignored, laughed at, or even
martyred for answering them.  Now, in the century we call the 21st, there seems
to be slightly more open-mindedness and a quickening global trend toward
awareness of who we really are.  It's about time - we're coming dangerously
close to destroying the whole game (again?).
Wisdom tells us that the limits we encounter here are voluntary, self-
imposed, and temporary.  The enlightened ones say that we are here because
we chose to come here, and we are "swimming" in the ocean of time and space
for the sheer exhilarating experience of doing so.  The boundaries of relativity,
like the rules and the sidelines of an athletic contest, are what make the game
satisfying and fun if we let them.
Like all the self-help gurus have been telling us, "attitude is everything".
We can jump right in, live in the NOW, try to remember who we are and why
we're here, and thoroughly enjoy the challenges we call life, OR - we can claim
we didn't ask to be born, bemoan our fate, imagine that we are victims instead
of creators, and make ourselves and others unhappy in the process.  It's our
God-given "free will" choice.  What is the potential result of choosing to be the
eternal multi-dimensional beings we truly are?  I thought you'd never ask.
In the 1970's a remarkable woman named Jane Roberts "channeled" for
several years an entity who said "I don't really have a name, but you can call
me Seth".  With the help of her husband, who transcribed every word, Jane/
Seth produced a vast and profound body of consistent observations, in writing,
on the human condition.  It is available to anyone in several books and in book
stores as well as on-line.  This is a sample from "The Nature of Personal Reality".
           (copyright 1974 by Amber-Allen Publishing)

"The human personality has no limitations except those which it accepts.
There are no limits to its development or growth, if it will accept no limits.
There are no boundaries to the self except those boundaries which the self
arbitrarily creates and perpetuates.  There is no veil through which human
perception cannot see, except the veil of ignorance which is pulled down by
           the materialistic ego.
That which appears empty, such as your space, is empty only for those
who do not perceive, who are blind because they fear to perceive that which
the ego cannot understand.  The ego, however, is also capable of greater
knowledge and potentiality and scope.  It dwells in the physical universe, but
it can indeed also perceive and appreciate other realities.  The ego is part of
the personality, and as such it can partake of sturdier, heartier, more vivid
realities.  The personality can dwell and does dwell in many worlds at once.
The inquiring intuitions and the searching self, like summer winds, can
travel in small and large spaces, can know of actualities that are more minute
than pinheads and more massive than galaxies.  The power and ability of the
human personality, in a most practical manner, can be seen as unlimited."

                                                                                           ... Seth

If perhaps you are one of those who are not satisfied with channeled
information, here are two more examples of the same kind of advice offered
by different sources.  One is contemporary 21st century wisdom, and the
other refers to centuries past.  Nothing has changed.  Those who are aware
           have always been so.
FROM THE PRESENT:  A quote from a wonderful author, speaker, and
modern-day guru named Mike Dooley, who inspires thousands of people daily
with his personal "Notes From the Universe" at www.tut.com.  We heartily
recommend that you do yourself a favor and get to know Mike.

"Admission into time and space requires a belief in limits; a belief that
both time and space are real; that you can therefore have and have not; that
love can be lost or found; and that you are what your physical senses show
           you and no more.
These illusions immediately lead you to believe that you are incomplete.
Yet, far from indicating you are flawed, they reveal your brilliance by filling you
with desire, igniting your emotions, fueling your passions, and catapulting you
out into the world where journeys are begun, connections are made, and dreams
come true ... only to be replaced by new dreams as your divine sense of
           incompleteness persists.
This is by design.  Feeling incomplete does not make you so.  It's how
legends are born, giants are made, and history is written.  It's why you're here.
To ever so briefly escape your true identity as you live with an unquenchable
thirst that will lead into adventures of grandeur, discovery, and a realization
that love is all there is."

FROM THE PAST:  There is a treasure trove of knowledge often referred
to as Ancient Wisdom, and is sometimes called The Mysteries.  The Mysteries,
or Mystery Schools, were ancient colleges of spiritual training.  They existed
all over the world in various forms from Polynesia, to Mexico, to Europe, to
China, to what we now call the Middle East, and specifically Egypt.  Undoubtedly,
the knowledge is older still, but our historical records are incomplete.
The curricula were long (often twenty years), rigorous, and highly motiv-
ated.  Their objective was no less than to produce super-human beings who
would be the spiritual teachers and guides of the human race.  This training
pre-dates Christianity by thousands of years, and its true objective was to
elevate the selected trainees to the level of conscious co-creators of the
universes.  The key word in that sentence is conscious, because we are all
co-creators whether or not we know it consciously.  The only reason that our
world struggles to survive is because of a majority who tend to co-create un-
           consciously, thus generating less-than-ideal results.
In the foreword of Manly P. Hall's encyclopedic volume on philosophy
(copyright 1988 by The Philosophical Research Society), Henry L. Drake, the
           Society's Vice President, says:

"In the program of the Mysteries, each individual must grow into the
comprehension of truth.  Before he could be entrusted with the divine powers
of mind and will, he must accept knowledge as a responsibility to his Creator
and his world, rather than as an opportunity for the advancement of
personal ambitions.  The masters of the Mysteries taught secret practices and
disciplines by which the properly qualified disciples could develop the potent
abilities latent within the soul, and so, come into conscious communication
           with spiritual realities."

So how do we, as Seth's "human personalities", access our unlimited
potential?  First, by realizing and accepting that it is there, and second, by
repeatedly directing our attention inwardly to the source of our power.  The
connection is always there.  It is our responsibility and our destiny to remember
how to turn it on.  Is there one "secret" that will allow us to open the door to
our hidden potential?  Probably not.  There are no doubt as many secrets as
there are seeking souls trying to find one, because each of us is walking his/
her own path, but there is one attribute we all have that can provide a clue.
It is a talent that belongs to every child from day one, and grows daily until
"maturity" slowly eats away at it and renders it ineffective.  It is the MAGic
           we refer to as iMAGination.
Why is our imagination so important?  Consider this.  We cannot see
the end of the heavens.  There are literally billions of galaxies in the heavens,
and we will never be able to count them all, but we can imagine them.  We
cannot see the energy we call atoms, either.  Atoms are really invisible, but
even if they weren't, they are so small as to be almost beyond our under-
standing - and now we have dissected them into far smaller components.
How can we grasp this reality?  By imagining it, that's how.
What are the limits of imagination?  There are none that I know of.
The term "limited imagination" is an oxymoron, since no matter how vast we
imagine our multi-verse to be, it could always be greater.  Science has
postulated the "big bang" theory which imagines our physical universe to be
expanding at an accelerating pace.  Nobody yet to our knowledge has
mentioned that it could also be diminishing at the same rate in the opposite
direction, but that is equally plausible.  Or perhaps the universe is expanding
in multiple directions simultaneously, and we are only  aware of one.  Who
can prove this is not so?
How many realities can you imagine? The final chapter of the book I
mentioned at the beginning of this article (There is a River) makes it clear that
all of man's philosophies combined are not large enough to begin to explain
our reality, which has no beginning, ending, or boundaries.  And the beauty of
it is that we are all participating in its ongoing creation.
Let me offer a gift left for us by Jane Roberts in 1979.  In addition to
being a channel for Seth, Jane was also a gifted author and poet.

                                    What magicians we all are,
                                    Turning darkness into light,
                                    Transforming invisible atoms
Into the dazzling theater of the world.
                                    Pulling objects
                                    (people as well as rabbits)
                                    Out of secret microscopic closets;
                                    Turning winter into summer,
                                    Making a palmful of moments
                                    Disappear through time's trap door.

                                    We learned the methods
                                    So long ago
                                    That they're unconscious
                                    And we've hypnotized ourselves
Into believing that we're the audience,
So I wonder where we served
                                    Our apprenticeship.
Under what master magician did we learn
                                    To form reality
So smoothly that we forgot to tell ourselves
                                    The secret.

                                                                                                                                                                January 9, 2024

                                                                LET'S TALK ABOUT THE FUTURE

                                  fu'ture,  n.   (Webster's)
                                                  Def. #2:    What is going to happen;  what will happen;
as, no-one can tell the future.

No-one can foretell the future?      Are you sure, Mr. Webster?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could always be sure that the result of our                                            efforts would produce exactly what we want?  Maybe, but whether or not it's
wonderful then depends on what we want, doesn't it?  What if what we are
hoping to get will only help us personally and does nothing for anyone else?
What if it would cause trouble?  Can we control that?

Consider this.  If we throw a rubber ball against a flat wall, the rebound is                                          somewhat predictable, but that is certainly not true if the wall is very uneven                                              on its surface.  Who knows then which way the ball will bounce?  That is the                                              problem.  The physical world we experience is really a vast field of energy,
some of which is physical, and some that is not.  Thoughts, words, and actions                                          are  also made of energy and are projected onto this field, and to complicate it                                          further, the field is not static -- it is constantly changing.  What are our chances                                          of accurately predicting the result of any thought or action?

It is often helpful to know the possible, or even the probable reaction to what                                          we think, say, or do, but without the unknown factors in a changing universe, the
whole system becomes lifeless.  The thing we call growth is always dependent                                          on the variables. Wait a minute!  If the future is totally un-predictable, then what                                        does that say about the "laws" of physics, or even the cycles of nature, for that                                          matter?  Some of what we observe certainly seems to be dependable. Doesn't                                          the sun look like it's coming up every morning?

That's right - isn't it beautiful?  We have this incredible created universe                                              that functions like a well-oiled machine.  It also has so much built-in flexibility
that we can somehow change its course by just thinking about it.  How is that
possible?  Well, from an "outside of time" perspective, this is what it looks like.
Apparently, we have several controlling forces at work here.

First:  There is the original Creative Force - (mind, consciousness, life, random
activity, God, the big bang, or whatever else you want to call it) that is so vast and
powerful that it is way beyond our comprehension.  It makes and runs an infinite
number of galaxies with unbelievable precision.  Thankfully, it also seems to be
                    benevolent.

Second: This "Creator" must have the ability to sub-divide endlessly into myriad
life forms that seem to have individual consciousness. They must all be part of                                          the same source.  Some of them even show up on this little planet we call Earth                                        with separate personalities. I guess that's one of the characteristics of the "Force".

Third:  And this is what is so amazing. Every single one of these sub-divisions has
the ability to create its own little slice of reality. It can do that individually or even
collectively with the other ones.  That's where the variable "future" really comes in.
Somehow, along with existing in a dependable, rule-driven creation that appears to
be separate from us, we, as individual creators can still make our own version of
the whole thing turn out the way we want it. Talk about infinity!  How many individual
"universes" are there, if each one of us is making our own?  It's no wonder we can't
                    figure it out.

Okay,  here's one more observation we have from our point of view.  No matter
what it may look like to any one of us at any point in "time", the whole process of
change never stops working in a positive direction.  Every single little world in every
galaxy, including Earth, is constantly progressing outward into a better and better
form.  The only reason it doesn't always appear that way is that while we are focused
here, we can only see the short-term changes, and they don't always please us.

From where I sit, it looks like our little planet is about to make a quantum leap
forward in its development, and many of us will be very happy with the result.  Big
changes usually cause an uproar of some kind, and that's what is currently going on,
but these "labor pains" are about to produce a new and better world.  Believe it.
Your beliefs matter, because you, like all the rest of us, are a Creator.

                                                                                    More to come ----   Merlyn

                                                                  WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE WORLD?

There is a story about a man trying to solve the world's problems, when his young                                 son comes into the room and asks if he can help.  He's touched by the boy's concern, but                               impatient to get on with his work, so he takes a map of the world, rips it into little pieces, and                           gives it to the boy, telling him that he can help by piecing the world back together.  The boy                             doesn't have a clue what the world looks like, but he takes the pile of papers off to his room.

Two days later he rushes into his father's study.  "Father, father, he says, I've put the                              world back together."  And indeed the shreds of paper have been very meticulously taped                                together.  His father is stunned, and asks how he did it.  The boy turns the map over.  "On
the back was a picture of a person" he says.  "I put the person back together and then I                                  turned it over and the world was back together too".

                                                                                                                                              January 13, 2024

                                                               SEVEN DEADLY SINS
As defined by Webster's Unabridged Dictionary

                  1.   Lie:   "To utter falsehoods with an intention to deceive,
                                    also;  to utter falsehoods habitually."

Donald Trump is, by definition, a habitual liar.

                2.   Rape:   "The crime of having sexual intercourse with a
woman or girl forcibly and without her consent."

Donald Trump is, by definition, a convicted racist.

                3.   Crime:   "An act committed in violation of a law forbidding it."                                        Criminal:   One who has committed a crime."

Donald Trump has committed many acts that                                                            violated a law. By definition, that makes him a criminal.

                4.   Treason:   "Violation of the allegiance to one's sovereign or                                                            state, betrayal of one's country."
Traitor:   One who betrays his country - one guilty of treason."

Donald Trump has violated his sworn oath of allegiance to
his country.  By definition, that is treason, and makes him
                        a traitor."

                5.   Extortion:   "The act or practice of wresting money, etc. by
force, threats, misuse of authority, or by any
                                          undue exercise of power."

Donald Trump has used his power to extort money                                                   many times.

                6.   Fascism:   "A system of government characterized by rigid,
one party dictatorship, forcible suppression of the
                                      opposition, belligerent nationalism, and racism."

Donald Trump continually uses every one of the definitions                                    of fascism.  He is , therefore, a fascist.

                7.   Threat:  "A statement or expression of intention to hurt, destroy,
or punish, as in retaliation or intimidation."

Donald Trump constantly threatens punishment or retaliation.

There is a Recent Movie About the Famous Symphony Conductor Leonard Bernstein.
Here is another sample of a "story" we found about him.

Leonard Bernstein was conducting a recording session with the New York Philharmonic
Orchestra in a studio in New York.  They were recording Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, and
were about two thirds finished when the recording equipment broke down.  The technician
said that it would take about two hours to fix it, so Mr. Bernstein excused the members of
the orchestra, and told them to come back in two hours to finish the project.

The entire bass section adjourned to a bar just down the street, and proceeded to get
into a drinking session with some of the locals there.  All of them became very drunk, and
when they returned to the studio two hours later, the situation was very bad.

Two of them passed out cold, and the others were staggering around so badly that they
were knocking over music stands, etc.   Their music had to be tied onto the stands so they
could turn pages without knocking it on the floor.  Mr. Bernstein was furious - there he
was, in the bottom of the Ninth, the basses loaded, two out, and the score tied !

                                                                        Sorry about that  -----    Merlyn

                                                                                                     January 2024

                                CONVERSATIONS:     ABRAHAM LINCOLN

We are very fortunate.  We have just met a remarkable individual
who was involved in a very important matter during his lifetime here on
Earth.  Mr. Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, was almost
single-handedly responsible for keeping those states united at a crucial
period in the nation's growth.  He still has a lot to say about unity.

                                             Our conversation:
Merlyn:  You've been often referred to as "Honest Abe:  What do you
                          think of that?

Lincoln:  I thoroughly disliked the name "Abe", and those who know
me well would never use it.  Perhaps my efforts to be honest
were notable only because  there were so many others in my
profession who didn't think it was important.  I did think that
honesty was an important trait, and of course I still do.
I resolved to be an honest lawyer then, and believed that if
one could not be an honest lawyer, he should just be honest
                           without being a lawyer.

Merlyn:  Why did you become a politician?

Lincoln:  Well, first I was a country lawyer, which I became because I
was pretty good at public arguing, and I desperately wanted
to remove myself from the poverty I grew up in.  Running
for congress just became the next logical step, and I felt
rather strongly about some of the local and national issues.

Merlyn:  Since your assassination, you have become generally regarded
as one of the greatest leaders your country ever had.  Did you
mean to do that, or did it just happen?

Lincoln:  If I did accomplish any great deeds, it was because the need
for them was thrust upon me.  I did seek to become the
president, but the nation was already headed toward a civil
war when I got the job, and I was unable to prevent it.
During the war, i believe I was the most unpopular president
the country had ever known.  My immediate objective became
to save the union because I believed in its nobility.  I wasn't
trying to destroy slavery until i realized that was necessary.
I lived with rumors of abduction or assassination from the
moment I was elected.  Threatening letters arrived in my mail
almost every day.  I made up my mind that there wasn't any-
thing I could do about that, so I just got on with my job, while
some others tried to protect me.

Merlyn:  What did you really think about the slavery issue?

Lincoln:  Well, it's obvious to us now, isn't it, it's ridiculous to think that
one man could or should be the "owner" of another.  Even then,
I believed that if slavery wasn't wrong, then nothing was wrong.
Changing the situation wasn't quite that simple, though.
Slavery was a huge part of the southern states' prosperity, and
even in the north where it was illegal, there was considerable
prejudice against black people.  Those who wanted to abolish
slavery altogether were a very small minority.
My personal attitude was always that all men should be
free, and if any should be slaves, it should first be those who
want to be, and second, those who want others to be.
Whenever I heard anyone arguing for slavery, I wanted to
see it tried on him personally.

Merlyn:  Do you believe, like the writers of the American Declaration of
independence, that all men are created equal?

Lincoln:  I think that those authors meant to include all men, and
women too, but they did not mean that everyone was equal
in all respects.  They did not mean to say that everyone was
equal in color, size, intellect, moral development, or social
capacity.  They distinctly defined in what respects they
considered all men created equal  ---  equal in "certain"
inalienable rights, among which are life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness".  That is what they said, and that                                            is what they meant.
